The temperature may be low but this is the time for those hot bikini shoots.

It maybe January but Spring Break is just a few month away.

We can always daydream about the summer or for us snow bunnies, manage to get away from the cold to a warm, sunny beach.

If we need an incentive to go to the gym and work out during these cold months, just take a look of these bikini pictures of Alessandra Ambrosio during a photo shoot in Mauritius in the Mascarene Islands for Victoria's Secret.

Alessandra Ambrosio looked super sexy in this aqua marine bikini top with pink flower petal designs and bikini bottom with ring tied.

Whether flinging her golden streaked hair to the wind or presenting a very wet hairdo look, one must admit that she is truly a stunning model.

It's only been 5 month since Ambrosio gave birth to a beautiful 6.3 lbs. baby girl Anja Louise last August and she managed to get rid of all the baby fat by working out.

In fact, she was in tip top shape for Victoria's Secret annual fashion show which taped in November, 2008, less than three month after giving birth.

Ambrosio has appeared in all the Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows since 2000.

Her most famous walk down the run for Victoria's Secret occurred in 2005 when she was wearing lingerie made entirely out of candy.

Her former roommates were also top Victoria's Secret model Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima.

In additional to her multimillion dollar Victoria's Secret contract, Alessandra also models for Armani Exchange and Next U.K.

According to Forbes magazine, Alessandra Ambrosio ranked fifth on the top 10 richest supermodels list with earnings of over $6 million.

Ambrosio is also a designer with her own line Sais by Alessandra Ambrosio.

So take a good look at Ambrosio fit and trim bikini body, and then head to your favorite gym. Remember, summer is just a few months away.

Rachel Greba Interview

This interview is with Rachel Greba the Bikini competitor. In her first show, Rachel looked incredible. In the future, with her taking jiu-jitsu classes, with plans to compete and possible compete in MMA, I may also get to interview Rachel Greba the fighter. Rachel is that rare person who can appeal to both the fitness fans and MMA fans. Whether competing or fighting, no doubt Rachel will be a success.

Q: First, Rachel, I want to thank you for taking the time to do this.
A: Thank you

Q: Can you start out by telling a little about yourself.
A; Well I’m in college. I plan on studying International Affairs at UC next year. I’m currently at a community college. I live in Northern KY, born in Dover, OH. I’m a HUGE Steelers fan (Dad is from Pittsburgh). I’m Italian/German. Grandmother is from Italy, and my mom’s side is from Germany. I’m about 5’2”.

Q: Before the gym were you an especially athletic person? Play any sports or anything?
A: Yeah, I would say I was. I played soccer for my high school. I was a defender. I tried tennis, volleyball, basketball. Practically everything but track or cross country.

Q: What initially led you into the gym?
A: My friend decided she wanted to join and I told her I would do it with her. She did it for maybe a week.

Q: Was training something you picked up fairly easy? How long before you started to see results?
A: Yeah I had great people who were teaching and helping me out. Started seeing results right off the bat.

Q: What made you decide to compete for the first time?
A: Actually it was a guy I was seeing who told me he thought I would do well and met some other people who have competed and who had connections.
Q: Is competing something your family and friends supported?
A: My family yes, my mom used to compete in bodybuilding. Friends supported but didn’t understand. Probably could say our relationships aren’t as good as they used to be.

Q: Was competing what you expected or did anything surprise you about it?
A: It was what I expected for the most part. I didn’t realize how hard dieting was going to be and how much it makes your mood change. But I was informed about everything ahead of time.

Q: Can you share your contest history.
A: Just one so far, Beverly Northern KY, I was 18. Planning on another one soon.

Q: As far as body parts, what do you feel is your best one?
A: Best either shoulders or quads.

Q: Do you have a part you most like to train?
A: Back and glutes

Q: What is your normal training routine and diet like and how do you alter it for contest prep ?
A: I isolate all muscles when training. I do morning cardio before breakfast and post workout cardio. I currently taken up Jiujitsu which I do 2 to 3 times a week. My diet is much of a ‘diet’ off season. I don’t want to burn myself out. Maybe to others it would be. Cut calories and cut out the junk. In off season I try to stay away from dairy, sugar, bread and a few other carbs. I try to keep my portion sizes down.

Q: When someone sees your physique or hears you compete for the first time, what is the most common reaction? More positive or negative?
A: I guess there usually kind of speechless and positive usually. I don’t pay much attention anymore.
Q: When they see it that first time, what is the one question or comment you are most sick of hearing?
A: Usually something about the bikini class. They don’t always associate it with bodybuilding, and can’t wrap there heads around it.

Q: What is the biggest misconception about women who train and compete or the one thing you wish people understood?
A: Just because you work out and lift doesn’t mean you’re going to get huge. Oh and also those who think it’s a selfish sport if you turn it around it can be a lonely sport as well.

Q: What is the best and worst part of training for you?
A: Best: Seeing how my body changes in a short amount of time. Worst: Dieting.

Q: Do you have any favorite competitors or any you admire?
A: Yes a few of the girls that I competed against.

Q: Do you have a favorite cheat food?
A: A greasy sandwich and peanut butter fudge/ or oreos…mmmm (I’m at fat girl at heart)

Q: If another woman told you she wanted to start training, what is the one piece of advice you would most want to give her?
A: If you like it or not diet is everything

Q: Do you think its becoming more common for women to use the weights as opposed to just doing cardio and things?
A: I sure hope so, having a firm muscular body is beautiful

Q: Outside of training, any other hobbies or activities you enjoy?
A; I took up Jiu jitsu recently and defiantly plan on competing. I’m an aggressive competitor and have a passion for fighting. I have a black belt in taekwondo which I was in for 5 to 6 years.

Q: Can you describe a typical day in the life of Rachel Greba.
A: Hmm school, study, work, work out, watch movies and try to hang with friends

Q: Describe Rachel Greba in five words.
A: Determined, genuine, loyal, calm, friendly

Q: What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
A: I enjoy reading and fighting obviously. People are surprised when they learn that about me though. I love studying and learning about different cultures. I think it makes you more well rounded and not take things you have for granted.

Q: Any set plans for the near future as far as competing or anything else?
A: Competing in jiu jitsu, and maybe in the future MMA. Who knows. Looking at the Monster Mash possibly.
Q: Anything you want to take this opportunity to plug or promote?
A: Thank you everyone who took the time out of there days to help me get where I’m at today with the diets and appointments. Adam who helped me the most to get there and put up with me.

Q: Are you looking for sponsors? If so how can they reach you and what are they getting in Rachel Greba the athlete and competitor?
A: Well I don’t know how many competitions I’ll do because of time, age, and how well its going to correspond with my JJ training (jiu jitsu). But they can find me on facebook easily. Contact me through email. I’m easy going, huge competitor and always try my best.

Q: Rachel, again, I thank you for taking the time to do this. Any last words before you go?
A: Keep motivated, and put yourself around others who help you stay motivated.
And thank you!

Kelly Ripa Trainer Fitness

!. Apple is the next Sony without Steve Jobs. The good news is that they might be eligible for a federal bailout.

2. Regis is retiring. I nominate myself as his replacement. I'm not qualified for the job, but I do have a thing for Kelly Ripa.

3. In other news, Kelly Ripa has taken out a restraining order against me. Apparently she has been getting those emails I sent. Damn.

4. SC has a new governor. My advice to her is to not serve Indian food at those state dinners. It has about the same impact as Mexican food.

5. Dick Cheney may get a heart transplant. Unfortunately, that soul transplant didn't take, so the heart transplant will probably fail.

6. Ricky Gervais pissed off a lot of people at the Golden Globes. Apparently, there were a lot of fans of The Tourist there.

7. Kelly, please please PLEASE let me be co-host. I promise not to wear the G-string thingy.

8. I almost shit my pants today. I am blaming it on Sarah Palin for creating a climate of diarrhea. (NOTE TO NIKKI: Don't serve that Indian food if you want to avoid the same fate as Palin.)

9. One can only hope that Steve just ate some Indian food and will be back at Apple.

10. OK, dammit. More Kelly Ripa for you:

Fitness And Workout Guidelines By American Council Of Exercise (ACE)

American Council on Exercise (ACE), is America’s nonprofit fitness organization, ladvocates  many important fitness and workout guidelines to encourage individuals to maintain their fitness goals and, ultimately, resulting in improved, more effective exercise routines in their fitness program.

* Its Important To Consult a specialist (Meera : Cerified Yoga & aerobics Instructer Call: 91-011-22784403 New Delhi India) for a fitness assessment prior to workout: Take the time for an prior evaluation is an significant way to measure your level of progress. you are making in your workouts. It may be that your weight may initially remain the same, an assessment by a Aerobics & fitness Instructer will give you the opportunity to measure progress that is not readily apparent including changes in body fat, as well as overall strength you have build up and aerobic capacity.

* Always Give  quality mind-and-body workout - It Must be kept in mind to Avoid any kind of xtremely intense or overly stressful workouts: Power Yoga or Pilates classes are a solid option because they emphasize the mind-body connection focusing on breathing and stretching.

* Avoid Falling into an inefficient, monotonous routine: To maximize your training results, avoid going through the motions and take note of your heart rate or perceived exertion level to stay in an appropriate training zone. In many cases, you may find that a workout companions provides motivation and can help you to pick up the pace of your training.

* Stay Inspired and motivated - Avoid Aimless workouts: Keep yourself Inspired and challenged by setting new goals and trying new classes everyday. Tailor workouts to a favorite sport you like. Usually Seasonal, sports-specific training will help keep you motivated at the gym.

* You Need To be patient – Don't expect to see results too fast or too soon: It is too easy to become discouraged if you are looking for immediate or “overnight” results. Many exercise-induced physiological changes may take three to six months, or even longer for some people. Remember that regular exercise and proper nutrition are important elements in producing positive change in your body.

* Its Important to Add variety to keep your workouts balanced and stimulating: Focusing Only on ne type of exercise training or a single aspect of fitness can cause overuse injury, boredom or plateau or no progress. You should try a variety of weight training or aerobics exercises to continually challenge your body and your mind.

* Ask for help: It is usually easy to forget how to properly use strength-training equipments after tyou have been away from the gym for a long time. Don’t be afraid to swallow your pride and ask the staff for assistance again --- that is why they are there to give you best sculpted body. To ensure a safe workout  for you and maximize results, make the most of your workout by asking your fitness yoga or aerobics instructer for guidance whenever you need it.

New Photoshoots Coming Soon Rauchelle Schultz

A gaggle of new photoshoots revealed here today include a long overdue reprise with sexy Ahlisha Newton, one of our earliest additions to the site. The 30-year-old from Palm Springs, California is hanging out at Venice Beach for this shoot. Stay tuned to see how the 5-foot-6, 130-pound fitness model has kept in the game over the last few years.
With several more encore shoots along the way, perhaps none figures to be more eagerly anticipated than a second turn in front of the cameras for Erica Cordie. The cute and curvy fan favorite takes center stage in San Diego this time.
Not to be outdone, we’ve also got Jami DeBernard returning fresh from her pro card win at USAs. Plus, Colorado figure star Noora Kuusivouri, who made top ten in the tall class in Las Vegas, hits the poses and weights in a new shoot from Golds Gym. In case you missed it earlier, here’s my interview along with more pics of the athletic Finland native.

Always dazzling Rauchelle tours Vegas in her third shoot.
And there’s more material in store for fans of Michigan’s Rauchelle Schultz, who has been active on the contest trail this year since making a switch from figure to physique. This is already our third shoot with the

Fitness Model Ahlisha Newton
A gaggle of new pho
chiseled brunette—her trademark calves always a treat—a rising star and likely future pro in the new division.
Of course, fresh faces are in the queue as well like Cheryl Chechel, a new figure competitor who made her national debut at USAs after taking first in the NPC Texas State last fall. The native of Long Island, New York now lives down south in Houston, and amazingly started working out only a couple years ago. But one look at the name of her Bodyspace page—futurefigurepro—is enough to suggest that the strikingly confident Big Apple beauty has designs on moving up to the big stage.
Also coming soon, Joanna Wilson is another physique crossover and finished fifth in the medium class at the USAs. The 5-foot-6 former bodybuilder was middleweight champ at the Emerald Cup in 2010. Plus there’s Tammy Cazares, lightweight bodybuilder from Naples, Florida who began competing last year and already has a couple of wins. She has her sights set on competing again at Nationals in November. Check out more about Tammy on her website. Finally, we’ll welcome national level figure competitor Gemma Santos, who slipped out of the top ten in class B at this year’s USAs after taking a close second last year.

Amber Jacobs Shines at Vancouver Natural, Emerald Cup

Coverage of new photoshoots from this year’s Emerald Cup continues with a look at Amber Jacobs, a figure girl from Seattle who was on a roll before a severe knee injury recently forced her out of action. The 25-year-old had planned to compete at the Washington State in July, but instead is on the mend after requiring surgery to repair a torn medial meniscus.
Amber placed third in class C at the Cup and also took fourth at this year’s Vancouver Natural. She was hoping to qualify for the USAs but will have to wait until her body heals and won’t be able to train legs again for at least three months. Before the injury, Amber shared some details about her athletic background and future plans in the sport.
Looking back, deciding to join a fast-pitch little league baseball team at age 14 led to Amber’s initial experience lifting weights. She also did karate for three years and played football, hockey and varsity baseball in junior high and high school as well as cross country. “I was always a rough and tumble girl,” she said, “I loved being physically fit, healthy and active.”
Amber poses for her shoot during Emerald Cup weekend.
Team sports continued during her college years at Western Washington University. “I was a coxswain [the leader in charge of steering and navigating] for the men’s rowing crew team and was on the club tournament waterski team,” she said. “I also personal trained and taught beginning boxing and speed-bagging.”
Asked how she got started in figure, “I have always loved weight training,” Amber explained. “In January 2010, some guy friends suggested I do a figure competition and showed me a picture in a magazine. I was like ‘I could do that.’ And away I went. Last year I did seventh in Emerald Cup my first show and first at the Empire Classic. I was the pretty happy with my physique last year but this year was pretty great too.”
Amber’s figure pursuit comes as no surprise to family and close friends. “But it has definitely changed my social life,” she admits coyly. Asked whether she ever surprised anyone with her strength, Amber recalls, “I will never forget when I asked some guys at the gym if they would help me get 50lbs dumbbells up for shoulder presses. They were pretty impressed. They’d never seen a girl (5’3″, 120lbs at the time) put up that kind of weight.”

In closing, Amber tips her hat to family and friends who have been behind her the whole way. “I’d love to give a shout out to my folks, Jim and Leah Jacobs! Some of my best friends Karen Ng, Gazalle Zontolyon, Jenny Leak, April LeBarbeque and Gretchen White. All my gym rat friends (there are so many of you), Construction Zone and Save Fitness teams.”
More of Amber coming soon on the studio. Meanwhile, here’s hoping her recovery is an extra speedy one. You can bet she has the tenacity and passion to be back in the spotlight soon but until then, the figure stage will be a little darker without her sunny and adorable smile lighting the way.

Maegan Swain Switching From Figure to Physique

Maegan Swain
The recent Tournament of Champions show is primarily a setting for pro competitors making a final push for the Olympia; meanwhile, the NPC classes are a showcase for tomorrow’s stars. One such competitor who graced the California stage is 27-year-old figure newbie Maegan Swain out of Sacramento, who placed second in her figure class and then took time out to pose her striking contest shape frame for our cameras outside by the pool. Photos and videos are up now.
Maegan’s looks and physique are somewhat reminiscent of Danielle Rouleau and feature a similarly outstanding lower body with tremendous quad size and sweep. Maegan’s abs, arms and capped shoulders are quite impressive as well. No surprise hearing she’s poised to crossover into the physique ranks soon and is worth keeping an eye on.

Figure Competitor Kelly Grossman Coming Soon

Kelly Grossman
Back to back top ten finishes this year for striking Kelly Grossman on the national stage, first at Junior Nationals and later at North Americans. Here’s a sneak peak at the 26-year-old brunette figure girl from Arizona with more pictures to come likely in the next update or so.

2011 IFBB MuscleContest Pro Bikini Championship

In my last Lens I did a write up on the 2011 IFBB Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International and Figure International.
That contest incorporated all the IFBB categories, Bodybuilding, Figure, Fitness and Bikini.
On March 26th, 2011 in Culver City, California, they held the IFBB MuscleContest 2011 Pro Bikini Championship.
That contest was held at the NPC Musclecontest Bodybuilding, Figure, Men's Physique and Bikini Championships contest and it's the second year this event has been held.
